Before co-founding Flatiron Media, Ray held numerous senior positions in traditional and new media companies spanning a 20-year career. Most recently, he was VP of Strategic Partnerships at eDiets.com, the leading online diet & fitness site, where he led all sales, e-commerce and strategic alliances. During his three years’ tenure, he grew revenue by more than $20 million, through a combination of advertising and subscription sales. prior to eDiets, ray was VP of Business Development for Beliefnet, the leading online spirituality network, and VP of Marketing for iVillage, the leading online women’s network. Before moving online, Ray was publisher of a $60 million b2b print brand and was responsible for all sales, marketing, editorial and the P&L. Ray has also held numerous roles at Ziff-Davis, culminating as part of the team that sold the company for $2.1 billion to SoftBank. Ray began his career at Bertelsmann.
